The party series Island Vibez is about uniting music and culture from the Caribbean and Latin America, especially its islands. This version is focusing on Jamaica and the Dominican Republic, with one Dancehall and one Bachata dance workshop. We will be dancing outdoors in the garden of the Dominican restaurant Santo, where you can enjoy delicious Dominican food and drinks.
Both workshops are beginner friendly, no skills and no partner are required. Everybody is welcome to join and learn some energetic Dancehall steps from the streets of Kingston and some sweet Bachata moves from the Dominican Republic, the home of Bachata.
After the workshops there will be a party where we can continue dancing to a nice selection of Bachata, Dembow, Reggaeton, Dancehall and Afrobeats.
Schedule:
17:00 - 18:00h: Dancehall with Bobb from Caribbean Dance Vibe
18:00 - 19:00h: Bachata dominicana with Evita from Bachata con Sazon
One workshop for 15€, both for 20€
19:00h - 00:00: Party with Antifatima (DJ) - free admission
