RUMBIA from Vienna:

Cumbia is the most widespread Latin American musical genre. It was originally born in Colombia, but soon traveled throughout the region and took on a special flavor in each country. Cumbia is the rhythm and sound of Latin America.

In Peru Cumbia took a special and well-recognized flavor: it is the place where the psychedelic guitar emerged. Mixed with the sounds and mystery of the jungle, the depth of the Andes, Peruvian cumbia, and chicha, is the sound that connects people.

To all this, we add a mixture of Latin Jazz where descarga and improvisation take center stage.

"Rumbia", a band formed by musicians from Peru and Austria, enjoys, honors, investigates, and shares the richness of this tradition. A perfect atmosphere to dance and live the flavor of Latin American vibrations.
