A full weekend dedicated to finally really understanding Brazilian Zouk.

Learn new material — but more importantly understand how and why it works.

From solid fundamentals to advanced concepts, plus a short but deep dive into the connection between Zouk and Lambada.

Whether you are just starting or already dancing for years, this weekend is designed to give you clarity, structure, and a deeper understanding of how everything connects.

PROGRAM

SATURDAY – BASIC INTENSIVE (5h incl. breaks)

11:15 doors open

A focused intensive to build and refine your Zouk basics.

We will:

• break down the essential mechanics

• clean up technique and timing

• answer open questions

• give you a clear structure you can rely on

Perfect for:

• dancers who want to rebuild or polish their foundation

• also suitable for complete Zouk beginners with some dance or body awareness background

Breaks included, with enough time to rest and have a bite.

SUNDAY – OPEN LEVEL + practice

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

14:00 Brazilian Zouk for all levels (2h)

16:30 Lambada into Zouk (2h, Learn about the root and how to use in Zouk)

18:45 Open Practice & Dinner Time (dance & eat freely)

This day is about understanding how things really work — so you can actually use them in your dancing.

We will explore:

• more complex Zouk movements built on solid technique

• different versions and variations of the same concepts

• adapting movements to your level

• how Zouk movements are built and connected

• selected insights from Lambada and how they apply to Zouk

Perfect for both Zouk dancers and Lambada lovers.

MONDAY – INTERMEDIATE & ADVANCED (4h)

18:00 dinner break & practice

19:00 Zouk Social

(weekly Monday social, but this time in Grätzlzentrum)

We go deeper into:

• technique refinement

• more about Zouk logic

• flow and advanced combinations

• musicality and adaptability

• connection and control

• advanced head movement technique

• key “secrets” behind head movements

This is where you stop guessing and start truly understanding how Zouk works — including head movements.

And then we dance.

GUIDO ASCHENBRENNER (Austria)

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

International Zouk instructor and pioneer of the Vienna Zouk scene since 2011. Known for his deep technical understanding, clear teaching structure, and ability to explain how movements actually work.

In addition to his extensive Zouk background, Guido has recently been focusing strongly on Lambada as a core foundation of Brazilian Zouk. Earlier this month he placed in a Lambada Jack & Jill and moved up to the Intermediate division after just over one year of competing.

His teaching connects logic, technique, and feeling in a way that makes complex concepts accessible and usable.

SINDI OBANDO (Colombia)

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

International Zouk teacher based in Colombia, regularly teaching at major congresses in Brazil, Colombia, Mexico and beyond.

She has worked with top artists such as Octavio, Kakah, Luan and many others. She is also part of the organization team of Colombia Secret and Zouk MX, one of the most important events worldwide.

Her dancing stands out through exceptional body control, smoothness, adaptability, and high level technique. Recently she has been deepening her Lambada knowledge through intensive training in Brazil and Mexico.

MARIA STRONSKA (Ukraine / Austria)

MAC certified Brazilian Zouk instructor based in Graz.

Maria combines strong technical training with elegance and precision. She has extensive experience in competitions and teaching, and is known for her clarity, structure, and attention to detail.

Her focus is on helping students understand their body and movement in a clean and efficient way.
